Quiet courage began as an effort to provide services and resources that are accessible and affordable to all walks of life. Whatever the creed, belief, or background Quiet Courage is a place that aims to compassionately illuminate the roots to our greatest obstacles using biblical principles and convictions in a way that can be comprehended and easily understood to all. A little bit about myself and how Quiet Courage came to be. I grew up like anyone else with their own difficulties and trials. Mine had a significant impact on my emotional and relational development. Constantly moving due to my father’s work made it difficult to find stability in the midst of the emotional turmoil. There were many attempts to help me. Some of them were good, others, though meaning well, did more harm. Much of this help came in the form of psychiatry. Due to a strong, negative experience I wrote off all forms of counseling and any attempt to address mental health. Years later life caught up to me again and I found myself in a dark place where I knew I needed God. After surrendering to God, he gave me peace and healing that previous attempts at restoration could not do. I assumed the problems were settled. Years later I found this was not the case.
I spent about 12 years in full time ministry to one day find that people were hiding their pains and vices. This is not the case in every ministry, but it was in mine. I saw first hand that trusting God without letting him into the shadows of your past can have devastating consequences. My own heart needed healing as well. I spent the next 4 years going through counseling for healing and education. I came out the other side with a purpose to use my pain and experience to give hope and clarity to others. God had helped me navigate the chaos of my life. I faced and worked though grief, depression, anxiety, and spiritual abuse among many other things by His grace. I hope to bring the same peace to others by using my experience and ministry background. In time I received a biblical counseling certification with Association of Biblical Counselors and in January of 2026 Quiet Courage was born. Currently I am continuing my education and partnering with AACC as a Biblical Mentor and Mental heath Coach.
The name Quiet Courage is a reminder that real heart and bravery does not come from being loud and flashy but from a place of contentment and peace. That peace comes from knowing God and truly knowing yourself. In a world of shallow noise, let's be a people of Quiet Courage.
